Annual Vision Award winner – Varun Goel

Whilst consulting with a client for a number of months with some very complex and challenging circumstances, Varun demonstrated great professionalism in his communication and progress of the project to ensure the client’s expectations were managed. 

Presentation to the client of the finished result was also of a very high standard and was well received, which prompted a follow up email from the client saying ‘Great job… you guys have really done an amazing job!!’. 

 The work that Varun took part in ended up saving the client between $300,000 – $500,000 of tax over the next ten years.  As you can imagine, considering a tax bill this high could be a highly stressful situation for anyone to have to pay such a large amount of tax, but was of increased stress due to the client’s previous dealings with other professional firms in regards to this matter.  The way Varun dealt with the situation led the client to having a clear understanding of tax expectations and savings for the coming 10 years, putting the clients at great ease. 

 The way Varun managed this situation has recently won him the Morrows’ Annual Vision award.  Candidates are considered for this award based on the values demonstrated and the situation behind the nomination.  Varun was nominated for upholding values such as Professionalism, Trust, Teamwork, being Performance Driven whilst upholding Morrows’ Reputation and Brand.  Being the winner of the Annual Vision award, Varun is entitled to a travel voucher on Morrows! 

Varun has been a Tax a Business Advisor with Morrows for approximately 3 years with his primary focus being to provide tax compliance and consulting services to SME clients.  Great work Varun!
