Long-term Morrows client Marketplacer, a technology platform for online marketplaces and parent company to BikeExchange, has recently stepped up its involvement in pro cycling by announcing the naming rights sponsorship with the newly titled team Orica-BikeExchange.
BikeExchange has supported the team since its inception back in 2011 and has been working its way up the chain of commercial partners ever since. BikeExchange is an online marketplace that supports retailers, brands and riders to find buy and sell everything bike. The Company has experienced rapid growth in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and is soon launching in the UK and Ireland.
Sponsoring a pro team presented an amazing opportunity for an expanding global brand such as BikeExchange and the sponsorship was a unique opportunity for them to reach millions instantly.
This has now been a reality for BikeExchange as team member Michael Matthews recently prevailed in the 10th stage of the Tour de France. The Australian, with three Vuelta and two Giro d’Italia stage wins to his name, outsprinted his breakaway companions after 197km from Escaldes-Engordany, Andorra, benefiting from the support of two of his Orica-BikeExchange team mates.
A huge congratulations to BikeExchange on the stage win and overall 4th place on the Tour. From everyone at Morrows we wish the team every success for future races.
