Brendan and Marc have been clients of Morrows for many years, and it’s thrilling to see that they are leading the way with designing innovative systems in transforming cities into catchments and food bowls.
The Foodwall was specifically designed to increase self-sufficiency in backyards and rooftops within communities, schools, hospitals, aged care and café gardens. You can capture a glimpse of the vertical Foodwall at the Red Star Roasters Espresso Bar in Port Melbourne (as pictured above).
Brendan and Marc both share the view that more food needs to be produced within city limits. With the rapidly approaching challenges of climate change, water and food security the design and implementation of these systems is paramount.
In its 18 year history, Australian Ecosystems has delivered hundreds of projects including the Desalination Plant at Wonthaggi, Victoria. It’s no surprise that at the recent Stormwater Victoria 2015 Excellence Awards, Australian Ecosystems formed part of the winning team for ‘Excellence in Integrated Stormwater Design’ award.
The Morrows team would like to congratulate Brendan, Marc and the team at Australian Ecosystems on their achievements and we are enthusiastic to watch future projects unfold.
