After over 33 years of devoted service, Paul Hodge, Specialist Taxation Advisor, will retire from Morrows at the end of September 2021.
Paul began his career at Morrows following a casual career guidance discussion with Graeme West in 1985, which turned into a placement/ cadetship in 1988, which then commenced as a permanent employee at Morrows in 1989.
Paul joined Morrows early in his career and over time become one of our most trusted Specialist – Taxation Advisors within our Business Services and Tax team. His years of experience, commitment and financial knowledge will be sorely missed.
During Paul’s time at Morrows, he has seen the company through numerous office moves and even witnessed the introduction of our first desktop computers. In addition, Paul’s diligence and dedication have helped many clients and businesses through landmark economic challenges, including the commencement of GST, numerous recessions, the GFC and the recent COVID-19 Pandemic.
Over the last three decades, Paul has been committed to helping people and the community across all aspects of life. A keen team member in our Morrows mixed netball team, an active participant and organiser of over four ‘Run 4 Kids’ charity events, an avid contributor to the Morrows Press Club and committed member of the Morrows charity committee.
Paul has been an avid runner, with eight marathons under his belt, including the London, New York, Berlin, Tokyo and Chicago marathons. With a little more time on his hands, he hopes to continue running and hopefully tick off an item on his bucket list – one of the most prestigious events, the Boston Marathon. Paul also plans to spend quality time with his family and a day each week engaging in charity work, another passion of his. As soon as international borders open, Paul hopes to enjoy retirement by travelling the world with his wife.
Paul has always focused on exceptional client relationships by providing personalised service and invaluable advice to all clients.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our clients for giving the Morrows team the privilege of working with you and managing your business affairs.
I would also like to personally thank each and every member of the Morrows team for the support, dedication and professionalism they have demonstrated during my time at the organisation.
Morrows has a strong team across all of our departments, and I am confident in knowing that the transition to the existing members of the Business Tax and Advisory team will be a smooth one.”
While we are sorry to see Paul go, our team is committed to supporting our clients, exceeding client service expectations and maintaining the highest degree of professional integrity in everything that we do.
We wish Paul all the very best for the future.
